About the Retreat
Murraguldrie Veterans Retreat is run by V.V.A.A. South West N.S.W. Sub-Branch.
The Retreat is open to all members of the Vietnam Veterans Association of Australia, Current Serving Members and Veterans of the ADF. Immediate family members are welcome when escorted by eligible members.

The Retreat is located on Wagga-Tumbarumba Road, in the Murraguldrie State Forest (55 km South East of Wagga Wagga ...50km North west of Tumbarumba.... 7 km South off Hume Highway.

Retreat Guidlines

Parking
You are welcome to park your vehicle near the grove of trees adjacent to the shelter shed, or anywhere within the open areas of the Retreat.
Power/lighting
The shelter shed is equipped with lighting, which can be operated by connecting a 1KVA generator to the power socket located on the east side of the storage container.
Ablutions
Toilets and showers have a instant gas hot water system. Please ensure that the gas bottles at the rear of the ablution building are turned on. Please turn gas bottles off when complete. Remember - the water supply operates on rain water, so please be sparing with it.
Cooking
There is a BBQ available in the shed for cooking, with the gas bottle located in the middle door. Please ensure gas and burners are switched off after use.
Voluntary Contribution
The upkeep and maintainence of the retreat is funded purely by donations and carried out by volunteers. Your financial contribution will be greatly appreciated. Cash donation envelopes are located inside the shed near the whiteboard. Please leave your cash donation in the red letterbox located near the ramp.
Alternatively, you can make your voluntary contribution via bank transfer.

Please include your name in the reference section of your transfer.
Rubbish
We operate on a 'bring it in - take it out" policy, so please clean up the kitchen area and take any rubbish with you as there is no garbage collection facility.
Camp Fires
Located next to the camp kitchen, there are two cement fire rings and there is a pot belly style fire place inside the camp kitchen.
Due to the risk of bush fire, no fires are permitted on any other part of the retreat, and the use of portable fire places is strictly prohibited.
If you are observed breaching this rule, your visit to the retreat will be terminated immediately.
